Singaporean Nisar Keshvani has lived and worked across five continents, is recognised as a consummate global communications leader with almost 30 years of experience. At Northwestern Qatar, Keshvani is shaping and advancing the school’s profile as a leading and distinctive U.S. institution in the Arab World, spearheading communications on strategic initiatives, designing and implementing internal and external communications, and aligning them with the University’s mission and values.

Most recently, he headed communications for the National University of Singapore (NUS) Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, co-led communications for its new College of Humanities and Sciences and served as NUS Temasek Hall Resident Fellow. He has established new initiatives from the ground up for several high-profile institutions of higher learning including the Queensland University of Technology (Australia), Republic and Ngee Ann Polytechnics (Singapore), the University of Central Asia (Aga Khan Development Network) across the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan.

During his global career, Keshvani has won numerous film, communications, and outstanding service awards. His NUS team won Institute of Public Relations, Singapore (IPRS) PRISM Awards for outstanding campaign, best in-house team, and outstanding issues management and Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) Asia Pacific award for best in-house team. 

He was also nominated PRCA Communications Leader of the year, an accolade reserved for exceptional leaders for their leadership, initiative, character, performance, and contribution to industry. He previously served as Vice-President of IPRS, and serves on their Accreditation Board. In recognition of his thought leadership, he was recently named LinkedIn’s Top Voice – recognising global thought leaders and experts.

He has architected communications for numerous academic institutions, and also taught, trained and mentored in media, digital content, and public relations.
