Lawrence Ferrer is a Certified International Procurement Professional (CIPP), a member of the American Purchasing Society and International Academy of Project Management. He created purchasing construct, adapted NU-Q purchasing processes to Middle Eastern operating realities and integrated NU-Q’s approach into main campus processes, methodologies and systems.
He currently manages NU-Q’s purchasing operations, including but not limited to: coordinating purchasing channels, maintaining the NU-Q Recommended Vendor list, nurturing vendor relationships, troubleshooting purchasing problems, partnering with stakeholders to match needs with purchase, ensuring consistency with purchasing policy, preparing payments, negotiating rates and performing purchasing related analyses.
