About
Genus Salas supervises building facilities services maintenance in all aspects (HVAC, mechanical, electrical, civil, building life safe system and instrumentation, plumbing and safety management), ensuring safe functional building services for the whole community. He supervises and monitors all contractors’ works, projects, and permits to ensure compliance of safe working procedures and to avoid any interruption of the business operations.
Prior to joining NU-Q he worked at Sidra Medical and Research Center as buildings supervisor, at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar as building operation supervisor and as facilities events and technical support, and at Shell Pearl GTL Onshore and Offshore Project as permit and safety coordinator.
Salas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marine transportation. He is a Project Management Professional, IFMA Member and Certified Facilities Management Practitioner, NEBOSH International Certified of Occupational Health and Safety, and Sandia National Laboratories Certified Trained Chemical Safety and Security Officer (Texas A&M Qatar).
