Journalist

Muska Safi is a seasoned freelance journalist with over four years of reporting experience, primarily with the Pashto, Dari, and English services of Voice of America (VOA). With a strong academic background in Political Science, Law, and Journalism, she has dedicated her career to covering critical issues surrounding Afghan refugees, especially focusing on the challenges faced by Afghan women who fled to Pakistan following the Taliban’s resurgence.

Muska’s work spans a variety of topics, including political affairs, refugee issues, health, and education. Her unique and in-depth coverage has included reporting on Afghan female lawyers, doctors, musicians, activists, and students, shedding light on their personal stories of resilience and struggle amid displacement and uncertainty. She is currently contributing to VOA’s Bo Ali Seena Show, which addresses health-related issues affecting Afghan communities.
