NU-Q alumna Camila Ferreira (’12) is the first-prize winner of Qatar Petroleum’s Eco-Film Competition, held in conjunction with the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP18).
Eco-Film competitors were asked to create a five-minute film focusing on environmental initiatives in Qatar. Entries were judged on visual clarity, composition, lighting, depth of field, camera movement and sound effects.
Native to Brazil, Ferreira majored in journalism and produced the film as part of her coursework in “Broadcast Production and Presentation,” a course taught by NU-Q lecturer Miriam Berg.
As winner of the competition, Ferreira will receive a 3,000 QR certificate to Virgin Megastores.
