Northwestern Qatar Professor Anto Mohsin has been selected to be part of the inaugural cohort of Northwestern University’s Roberta Buffett Institute for Global Affairs’ flagship fellowship program, Buffett Faculty Fellows.
Mohsin, who teaches courses in Science and Technology Studies (STS) at Northwestern Qatar as part of the Liberal Arts Program, is among 11 scholars from across seven Northwestern University schools selected for the program this year. Together, they make up the first cohort of the expanded Buffett Faculty Fellows Program, which aims to foster an interdisciplinary intellectual community within the Northwestern community by facilitating scholarly exchanges and providing mentorship meetings between senior and junior faculty.
As part of the 2023–24 cohort, Mohsin will join fellow Buffett Faculty Fellows in Evanston in the upcoming academic year, where each of them will be in residence and take part in the fellowship’s activities and events for one academic quarter and complete research projects supported by fellowship funds. Throughout his fellowship, he will also work with other fellows in supporting the Buffett Institute in the evaluation of the Buffett Faculty Fellows Program and the development of other research and curricular activities.
