Northwestern University in Qatar community came together for a beach cleanup along Qatar’s northeastern coast, organized by the University’s Wellbeing and Community Committee. The event, which gathered students, faculty, and staff, served as an opportunity to contribute to environmental preservation while strengthening community bonds.
The initiative is part of the school’s long-term commitment to sustainability—one of the university's core values. Northwestern Qatar prioritizes environmental stewardship and seeks to cultivate an institutional culture that supports human, institutional, and environmental sustainability.
Participants spent the afternoon collecting plastic waste and debris along the shoreline, working together to reduce pollution and protect Qatar’s natural coastal habitats.
