Faculty, students, and staff from Northwestern University in Qatar will engage with the world of media, artificial intelligence, and technology at the upcoming Web Summit Qatar 2024, the world’s largest technology event, as part of a new institutional partnership.
The conference, taking place between February 26 – 29, 2024, is the first of its kind in the region, connecting thousands of entrepreneurs, investors, organizations, and the next generations of leaders to discuss and shape the future of technology. Organizations partnering with Web Summit use the event as a platform to amplify their work, connect and forge meaningful connections with peers, and solve some of the most pressing issues in the field of technology.

As part of the partnership, Northwestern Qatar will host Transformative AI: Human-AI Interaction in the Evolving Media Landscape, a masterclass led by Venus Jin, professor and associate dean for education, focusing on the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in media. Additionally, Professor Spencer Striker will present his research on his award-winning digital learning series "History of Adventures," exploring the evolution of digital storytelling within contemporary digital media landscapes.
Northwestern Qatar's collaboration with Web Summit Qatar 2024 is one of several institutional partnerships leveraging its expertise and resources to enable breakthroughs that benefit Qatar and the rest of the world.
