Beverly will conduct archival research at several music and history archives in Chicago. This research will be used to provide historically accurate context for three participants, and the Chicago musical scenes in which they operate(d), for an ongoing documentary project. This research is necessary to understand the Chicago musical history described, and the interviewees’ place within it, in order to communicate a rich and nuanced portrayal to an audience.
