This grant has been awarded to support a book manuscript authored by professor Khalil. This book builds on decades of important literature on youth and media to offer a fresh perspective on young people’s development and circulation of media artifacts. Based on extensive multi-sited fieldwork, the manuscript integrates stories of youth media production in the Arab world over the years of 2005-2015 into a single analytic frame: youth generated media.
